Hello, Readers! I hope you’re feeling feisty today, because I’m serving Snark on a Stick over at Taming Insanity today. Y’all know KLZ, right? Right?
Well, if you don’t, you’re missing out. Her site is chock-full of good and interesting stuff, and she’s fabulous, to boot. I hope you’ll join me at KLZ’s today, as I pen An Open Letter to the Overachiever Mommy at the Park. Hey, I’ve been nice for far too long. Some long overdue fangs are in order, don’t you think?
xoxo,
Kitch

Still laughing over your post, so glad you were KLZ’s guest so I could find your blog.
I’m rolling on the floor. Your post, however, is oh so true. I have a photo of our eldest’s room when he was nine months old. It looked like a photo from a decorating magazine. It’s also when he started walking. Of course he was precocious! I have another photo when he was a year old taken from the same angle–total slobsville!! It was about that age that I went for the no-fuss hairdo among other style changes!
Thanks for the memories!
Best,
Bonnie
I loved your post at KLZ’s. Freaking hilarious! I’m going to go poke around the rest of your gorgeous blog now!
I love this post! And I love your snark. It’s been funny knowing you for so long, KW, and having “witnessed” so many of the scenes you describe.
I am in desperate need of snark today. Can’t wait to read! :)
You are so damn refreshing. How many times have I thought that? With my middle one, we had to put a hook on the door because he learned how to get out of his crib during nap time. (I had three under three and needed the rest) Lord, am I glad it’s over. On the other hand, I’ve loved watching this particular hell-raiser deal with his own.
Forget Shakespeare in the park. I’ll take Snark-in-the-Park any day. So I’m headed that way…
Found you over on Taming Insanity. Love you. Now following you so my love can grow. ;)
^Pretty sure that came out way creepier in print than it sounded in my head.
So glad I found you over at KLZ’s! Loved this entry – I SO know what you’re talking about with the Mommy Overachievers! Love your blog!
Loved your post at KLZ’s so much!! Am now your devoted follower. Seriously, it made my day.
Thanks for guest posting – it was such a fabulous post!
Miss KW,
First time responding here, but I couldn’t pass it up this time. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve noticed “those moms” out and about. Part of me cringes with embarrassment as my three shrieking, fighting, display ruining kids get the official look of disapproval and the other part is giggling with evil gladness knowing they will one day be where I am. Muahahahaha
Thanks for the many LOLs!!
Dying of laughter, dying… :)
As always, you are freakin’ hilarious!!!
Good.
Now I can go and stalk you over there.
Ho-Lee-Crap you are funny.
Glad to have found you at KLZ’s.
(p.s. I have a pair of Joe’s Jeans but they are hand-me-downs and the cute little JJ thing is ripped off. Metaphor for my life, really.)
You crack me up. Even though I don’t have kids. Still, one sheltie often feels like about 10 2 year olds….
Your blog is lovely! I feel like I should take off my shoes and wash my hands before I type another word.
KLZ is funny peoples and she was right about you. I am looking forward to wandering around here. So glad you guest posted.
I love it!
I always looked at those mums and thought they must be the nanny…..or the nanny’s at home doing the housework while mum decides to ‘play mum’ just to piss all the unwashed and disheveled mums like me off!
Happy mother’s day! Love you!
Classic, Kitch! It’s good to know that they will get their’s, isn’t it? I really needed the laugh tonight! Thanks!
