Birthday Boys

October 16, 2014

This is going to be a quickie drive-by kind of post, as I’m busy getting the family packed up for our long weekend in Texas–nothing like taking the girls to the only state boasting the Ebola virus, but hey…*

I just felt the need to make a toast ^ to my birthday boys, who both turned a year older this week.

Mozz man got spoiled rotten on his birthday with some King Salmon and homemade dog treats (which I did NOT take a photo of because they were ugly brown nuggety-things, but Mozz loved them). Recipe later.

I may have let him chase the cat a little more than usual, just to make his day extra special.

And hey, do you think we need to get some new trampoline pads when this winter is over? Umm, last year’s devastating floods really did a number on those suckers. Don’t judge.

Mozzy didn’t get any presents, and turns out, the birthday husband doesn’t get any either this year. Maybe because someone is getting a new car in a few weeks.

Hmph.

He’s already acting like he’s cooler than me.

But lucky for him, he’s also the kindest, funniest, whip-smartiest person in the whole world. And man, is he a kick-ass father. How he has the patience for this loony crew he has to share space with, I don’t know.

But I’m glad he’s mine. I’ll keep him.

Happy birthday, baby.

*Actually, as you read this, we’re waiting for the Dallas telecast today and will decide whether to travel based on that and some hours doing extensive reading. We may not be airborne, after all.

Happy birthday to both the handsome men in your life! And can I just say I’m kind of hoping you’re not airborne today? Given your travel history, even if Ebola wasn’t on the radar, I would think that would be for the best ;)

Happy birthday to both your fellas! And if you get on that plane and anyone has to do the walk of shame, don’t mention anything about anyone being “screwed.”

Happy birthday your man and pup! When our dog was alive, I used to make him dog treats too – his favorite were peanut butter cookies – boy we miss him. :(

Happy birthday to your precious fur and DH.
Cancel your trip to Dallas? I wouldn’t – but that’s just me. But I’m a wash hands and go kind of girl.
A new car is fun to look forward too!

Happy birthday to both of your boys. May the guidelines out there for travel truly provide the information you need to make a good decision on your trip. I feel like we keep hearing things that reduce my confidence in the handling of it all. Be safe, and be well.

Happy birthday to your awesome husband and that awesome pup!
You are a braver soul than I heading to the Ebola capital of the US – but I saw a whole lot of media today that says you can’t get it on a plane just by being on the plane. It was kind of a tongue-in-cheek article, now that I think of it and mildly entertaining…wish I could remember where I saw it. The one that sticks out in my mind was the one about how you won’t contract it on a plane unless you’re planning on joining the mile high club with someone on the plane who is in the infections stages of ebola…you get the idea.
In all serious, I have to admit I’m allowing the media to convince me that our illustrious leaders are doing a bang-up job of screwing this one up. If you do travel, be safe and stay well. Don’t touch anybody’s body fluids! :D

Happy birthday to both of your boys! I’m glad you didn’t decide to fly (your travel luck is so crappy that I don’t want to think about what you might encounter now).

Curious to see what Mr. KitchWitch’s car selection is. :D

Happy Birthday to your fellas! My dog gets a toy on her birthday and we sing to her. Now, every time we sing Happy Birthday to ANYONE, she goes nuts thinking that she’s getting something.

Happy Birthday, Boys, although I doubt hubby cares to be on the same page with the dog, but whatever. He’s getting a new car, so I guess he can put up with it, right?
(Tell me it’s NOT going to be a red sports job.)
