She’s mine. Sometimes, I still can’t believe it.

How funny…just this week I said to someone that I still sometimes look at Kidzilla and think “oh, wow, she’s for real” and can’t quite believe it.
Happy birthday to you both!

Sometimes you just look at them and think–I could not possibly love you one bit more. And then I usually cry. Beautiful daughter. Is it your birthday? Happy Birthday to you!

I know, sometimes that much love just bowls you over. It never ceases to amaze me. Is it both your birthday and your daughters? How did I miss this? Happy Birthday to you both!

So few words needed to express everything. Yes. (Sometimes I feel this way about my entire life!)

It’s amazing to think about, when we witness the awesome of our children, when we think that we made them but they are by all accounts better than anything we could have dreamed up. You done good. Hope she had a fabulous birthday.

Always thought/think that about my daughter, but there were times with my sons, let me tell you, Devils Spawns. Hah! Well, they grew up, finally, and are both wonderful men and daddies.

I just read this post and the previous one together (I don’t visit often enough). If I put two and two together right, you were not only in the hospital for your daughter’s birthday but also your own last year. Which you do not even mention.

Everyone else already said the right things about your daughter’s birthday. So I will say something about yours. Since you accomplished such a fantastic task last year, you should celebrate with a wonderful present. I don’t know you, so I don’t know whether it is a meal cooked by someone else, a pedicure, a wonderful new book, a weekend away from home, but I am sure there is something you could have that would be appropiate to celebrate such an accomplishment. Please have it.

The job well done was survival. You went over to the other side and came out again. And with everything you learned, life is richer (not necessarily easier, not even maybe always better, but richer). You decided to live and get well. That is not just enough, that is everything.

So happy birthday and many more to come!
